Increase your ranking in search engines.

For a good ranking in search engines especially in Google links from other websites to the own site are very important. It is for sure not bad to know something about the special kinds of Links.

If you find a website with witch you want to exchange links get in touch with the webmaster and offer him a link from your website. If he agrees you obtain a backlink from his website to your site. Those links are reciprocal links or Two Way Links. You should make sure that you get links from related websites, it will be better appreciated by Google. Look for links from your competitors, they are most related. But you don’t want to recommend the product of your competitors, you would rather sell your own one. more..getting many backlinks

By the way a Two Way Link is not very significant for a good ranking in Google, sure it is still better than no link. What Google likes are One Way Links. Thats a link pointing from the other website to your site, and you don’t link back to the other site. You can get such links from web directories. But they contribute less and less to a high-quality ranking. One Way Links would be of course again the best of a competing site because they are very related. You sure have problems to find someone who gives you a link for nothing in return.

You can proceed rather different if you have 2 partners, B and C. You (A) link to B and B links to C and not back to A. C gets a link from B and in return links to A. All are linked in a triangle: A -> B -> C -> A. Everyone gets an incoming link, however for which there is no direct outgoing link. Google sees only incoming One-Way Links, that’s the best for the ranking. more..getting many backlinks

So with smart linking you can achieve better ranking if you have many sites. But if you have only one or two sites? One Solution are Link Networks. Thousands of sites of the members are linked together. For a moderate monthly fee, the three- or polygonal linking takes place over the network. more..getting many backlinks
